Folk Dance Resources

A NEW DANCE IS NOW AVAILABLE À LA CARTE!

Looking for an extra dance to supplement your school year? Check out the newest dance, Jenny’s Market!

Jenny’s Market is a stand-alone folk dance video lesson sold separately from the Year-Long Folk Dance Resource. It is not included in the six dances listed below, making it a great option for families who have already completed the original resource or for those who would like to sample the folk dance lessons before purchasing the full program.

The Year-Long Folk Dance Resource includes the following six dances:

  • Heel/Toe Polka
  • Tant Hessie
  • Brighton Camp
  • Oh Susanna
  • Irish Jig
  • La Marieta

This fun, silly, lively video folk dance lesson resource includes:

  • Video lessons for six folk dances to fill up one school year, taught directly to the student.
  • A recommended forecast on how to spread out your lessons throughout the year.
  • Small and Large Group Adaptations via video and/or documentation.
  • Lesson introductions to guide you and your student to where the dance originated, the traditional dance dress of the culture, and an interesting fact surrounding the dance itself.
  • A “How to Plan Your Folk Dance Lesson for the Year in 30 Minutes or Less” video to help you prepare your own folk dance lessons in the future!
