Natural History (Science) Planner

If you find that one of the biggest challenges to school planning is remembering what each child has already accomplished, this planner will be helpful to you. Or maybe you like to plan things out several years in advance, which is practical when coordinating multiple students or collecting the books you will need. In that case, this planner will give you a list of everything required, so you can plot out a path that works best for your family.

This 27-page Teacher Help is an editable PDF that includes a nature lore and science rotation for students from Forms 1 through 6. Each level begins with a summary of the ideas to be learned and a list of the specific work a student should accomplish in Nature Lore/Biology, Science, and Special Studies. In addition, it contains notes describing what Charlotte Mason assigned through her rotations, and when we at ADE diverge from her assignments, explanations of why are included.

The Master List is a place for you to keep track of all the science subjects each child has studied, so you can see at a glance which books and topics each child has completed. The assignments we suggest are listed, with blank spaces to include others your family may choose to include instead or in addition. The Rotation Chart allows you to record the work completed by each child or to plot out a rotation to follow. You can use one or both of these templates.
